Defrost termination switches like the True 800315 by Therm-O-Disc (37T21) are an important part of the defrost system of your True unit. The defrost termination switch is mounted on the evaporator coil and controls the defrost cycle in response to the temperature of the coils. When the coils are cold the termination switch is closed. When the unit begins the defrost cycle, the coils are warmed which melts the ice on the coils. When a set temperature is reached, the defrost termination switch is opened, terminating the defrost cycle. The True 800315 defrost termination switch by Therm-O-Disc (37T21) features two 17" long wires, one red and one black, that have blue connectors on the ends.
